ANXCamera: MIUI 10 Ported Camera App for Poco F1

A member of XDA community, AEonAX, has managed to port MIUI 10 Camera for devices powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. The SoC is so powerful. Hence, it would be a waste if its users couldn’t use it at its true potential.

The app may have some drawbacks compared to ported Google Camera app. However, the MIUI camera app has its own fans. Its familiar menu, UI, and features are the “things” that make users loyal.

Are you running a custom ROM on your Redmi smartphone and do want to have that glorious MIUI stock camera? Try this. Anyway, this app is also compatible with stock MIUI 10 ROM based on Android 9.0 Pie. It won’t replace the default camera. Instead, it will be available as another app named AnX Camera.

HOW TO INSTALL

Step 1. Unlock your phone bootloader.

Step 2. Flash Orange Fox Recovery and root with Magisk.

Step 3. Download the above ZIP file to your phone.

Step 4. Since your phone is now rooted, you’ll find a new app called Magisk Manager. Open that app.

Step 5. Now flash the ZIP file using Magisk Manager app.

Step 6. Grant All Permissions.

Step 7. Grant Usage Access Permission. You can do this by going to Settings > Apps > Advanced > Special App Access > Usage Access > Camera > Allowed.

Done. Use the app like you use another camera app.

How to flash Magisk Module?

These steps below are the explanation of Step 5 above.

First, tap on the menu icon at the top left-hand corner of the screen.

Next, choose Modules.

Tap the big plus button at the bottom. It’s the Add button.

Now locate the ZIP file you’ve downloaded.

Tap on the Flash option then reboot.
