MTK IMEI Patcher for Redmi Note 8 Pro
Hello friends, today we will fix the IMEI of the Redmi Note 8 Pro. For this, we will need a command-line tool, the link to which I will share in the middle of this post. Many users, due to not finding the correct solution, try to fix it with some free tools, but their problem tends to get worse instead of being resolved. In this situation, I will guide you through a tool and all the steps to fix this issue easily.
Overview
This script recreates the NVRAM partition and makes a private TWRP flashable for your phone.

Usage Instructions
Prepare Your Configurations:
- Fill in your values in the
config.txt
file. - Run
mtk_imei.cmd
. This will generate a flashableimei_repair.zip
file in theout
folder.
- Fill in your values in the
Backup Partitions:
- Backup the NVRAM and NVDATA partitions.
Flash the Repair File:
- Flash
imei_repair.zip
in TWRP. - Reboot your phone.
Uninstall Instructions
Restore Partitions:
- Restore the NVRAM and NVDATA partitions from the backup.
Clean Up Vendor Partition:
- Mount the Vendor partition.
- Delete
/vendor/etc/init/md_patcher.rc
and/vendor/lib/modules/md_patcher.ko
files.
Notes
- The flashable supports all 4.14 kernels (both stock and OSS). You will need to flash it every time you wipe your Vendor partition.
- It includes a prebuilt
md_patcher.ko
kernel module. Kernel maintainers should not include it in their kernels as it works as an external loadable module only.
Prerequisites
