VIVO Y73 DEAD AFTER UNLOCK?

VIVO Y73 DEAD AFTER UNLOCK?

If your VIVO Y73 becomes unresponsive after attempting to unlock it or remove FRP, you're not alone. This issue has been reported, where the device refuses to power on, and no port is detected—even when trying test points or CLK methods. Even removing the UFS chip won’t help as the device shows no signs of life.

Here’s a breakdown of the issue and two methods to repair the device.

Symptoms of the Issue

  • Device won't power on.
  • No port is detected when connected to a PC.
  • Test points and CLK methods fail to work.
  • Removing the UFS chip results in DC power supply readings:
    • With UFS: 0.083 Amps.
    • Without UFS: 0.020 Amps.

Method 1: Using a Redmi Note 10S Motherboard

  1. Replace the VIVO Y73 UFS chip with a Redmi Note 10S motherboard.
  2. Flash the Y73 firmware using Pandora or CM2 software.
  3. After flashing, replace the UFS chip back into the VIVO Y73 motherboard.
  4. Power on the device. Perform a hard reset if required.
  5. Resolve IMEI Issue:
    • Connect the device to a PC via port.
    • Write the RPMB file using Pandora Box or CM2.

Method 2: Using EasyJTAG

  1. Remove the UFS chip from the VIVO Y73 motherboard.
  2. Write the dump file to the chip using EasyJTAG.
  3. Reinstall the UFS chip back into the VIVO Y73 motherboard.
  4. The device should now show a preloader port when connected.

Conclusion

By following these methods, you can bring your VIVO Y73 back to life. While both methods are effective, the first one requires an additional device (Redmi Note 10S), whereas the second method involves advanced tools like EasyJTAG. Always ensure you have the proper tools and files before proceeding.
