Action Plan: FRP Reset and Fastboot Format
The purpose is to use MTF-Huawei Module 1.0 to reset the factory reset process on a Huawei device. But be aware that times the device can continue to show the logo or become stuck even after completing a format. If so, you must take more steps to get free of the FRP and make sure the device is completely reset.
Step-by-Step Guide
Test 1: FRP Reset and Fastboot Format
Prepare the Device:
- First, put your Huawei device into Huawei COM 1.0 mode via the test point method using a modified USB cable. This will allow your SigmaBox to communicate with the device at a low level for the operations.
Open SigmaKey:
- Launch SigmaKey on your computer.
Select the Platform and Port:
- In SigmaKey, select the following:
- Platform: Hisilicon
- Port: Choose the correct port that corresponds to the connected Huawei device.
- Processor: Select Kirin.
- In SigmaKey, select the following:
Load Fastboot:
- In SigmaKey, select Load Fastboot. This will prepare the device for further actions and establish a fastboot connection.
Wait for the system to establish the fastboot connection...
Open the MTF-Huawei Module 1.0:
- Once the connection is successful, open the MTF-Huawei Module 1.0.
Perform Fastboot Format:
- On the MTF-Huawei Module, press 2 to initiate the fastboot format process.
- Wait for the process to complete.
In case the device logo is still visible:
- If the logo remains after the format, the next step will be to enter recovery mode and perform a low-level format.
Step 2: Recovery Mode Format
If you notice that the device still shows the logo or gets stuck, follow these additional steps to complete the FRP reset and fastboot format.
Put the Device into Huawei COM 1.0 Mode:
- Again, connect the phone using the test point method with the modified USB cable.
Reopen SigmaKey:
- Launch SigmaKey again.
Select Platform, Port, and Processor:
- Make sure to select the same platform (Hisilicon), port, and processor (Kirin) as before.
Load Fastboot:
- Choose Load Fastboot once more to re-establish the fastboot mode connection.
Wait for the system to recognize the device.
Remove FRP:
- On the SigmaKey interface, select the option Remove FRP.
- Wait for the tool to proceed with the FRP removal.
Wait for the Process to Finish:
- Once the FRP removal process is completed, your device should be free from the Google account lock (FRP).
